Cardboard and other types of packaging form the largest single proportion of the UK's commercial waste stream - over 8 million tonnes of waste cardboard and paper are sent for disposal each year. Smurfit Kappa operate Paper Mills that re-process this material both in the UK and Europe.
With a large and flexible transport fleet, we can provide a bespoke collection service to suit all your recycling needs. Whether your material is in a loose or baled form or whether you have 1kg or 1000 tonnes, we have the solution to suit you. As well as a comprehensive range of collection containers we can provide you with storage trailers, balers, conveyors and a whole range of other specialised processing equipment for use on your site.
Every tonne of cardboard we collect will contribute to a better and more sustainable environment, whilst at the same time saving you money by reducing the amount of material you send to landfill. Indeed, our closed loop approach to ensuring the long term viability of packaging, through working closely with our Group packaging organisations offers our clients the confidence to know that recovered material is being put to good use.
Nor should you forget that, as an accredited re-processor, we can provide you with a Packaging Recovery Note (PRN) for each tonne of material we recycle.
